National “Do Not Call” Registry

If you previously added your phone number(s) to the “Do Not Call” registry it is time to renew this request.

Are you tired of being pestered by telemarketers during dinner? Are you especially irritated when they call your CELL phone? Home and cell phone numbers can be placed on the National “Do Not Call” Registry. The registry prohibits telemarketers from calling the phone numbers on the list. Companies face fines of up to $11,000 for each violation. Exceptions are made for organizations that are performing charitable, political, or survey work. Home and cell phone numbers can be registered and complaints can be filed at www.donotcall.gov or by calling (888) 382-1222.
