DHSMV Collects Emergency Contact Information The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles urges Floridians to input their emergency contact information. On their website, residents can voluntarily input the name, address and contact information for two contacts to be used by law enforcement in case of emergency. More than 560,000 Floridians have participated in this program to date. To register your emergency contacts, go to the DHSMV website.
