February is a month of celebrations - whether you are cheering on the Giants or Patriots in the Super Bowl; spending time with that special someone on Valentine’s Day, rooting for your preferred player/division during NBA All Star Weekend or honoring the accomplishments of the Presidents of the United States on President’s Day.  This month’s issue celebrates the leap year by providing an extra day to pay taxes! Tax Bill Too Big?…Catch A Break!

Tired of paying property taxes in a lump sum?  Sign up for the Installment Payment Plan (IPP) and pay property taxes in four quarterly installments (June, September, December and March).  The Installment Payment Plan enrollment is now open for next year’s taxes (2012). Enrollment applications are accepted until April 30, 2012. Read more>

Property Tax Season Progress  

Over $1.2 billion in property taxes has been collected as of January 23.  We answered over 15,000 customer phone calls and 4,000 emails in the first quarter of tax season.  The most common question was making sure the payment was received and processed. Read more>

Constitutional Tax Collector Gannon was recently recognized by the Gold Coast Public Relations Council for her 2011 Tax Planner & Services Guide.  The Gold Coast Public Relations Council honors excellence in the public relations field annually through the Bernays Awards.  The 2011 Tax Planner & Services Guide won in the “Collateral Material” category. Extra Day to Pay

February is the last month property owners can take advantage of property tax discounts (1% discount).  This year you have an extra business day on February 29 due to the leap year. Read more>
