In December 1978, Hospice by the Sea was started by a small group of citizens in Boca Raton who wanted to change the way people traditionally spent the final chapter of their lives. They believed that the dying should be afforded the simple gifts of peace, comfort, and dignity. Today, our nearly 500 employees and 370 volunteers are privileged to serve thousands of families in Palm Beach and Broward counties each year. Visit http://www.hbts.org for additional information on this organization.
All Tax Collector charitable involvement activities share a common objective: to aid and bring comfort to Palm Beach County citizens and families in need. The employees of the Tax Collector chose partner charities through an annual election. Employees will raise money for these charities through voluntarily contributions of $1 a week from their paycheck to dress down on Fridays and various fund raisers. We invite you to join us in our first activity of the year – the 5th Annual Walk of Support and Health Fair being held on Saturday, November 7 at 8 am at Gaines Park in West Palm Beach.
