Foreclosure 911 Symposium

Facing foreclosure?  Mortgage troubles?  Want some free advice?  Come to the City of West Palm Beach’s first “Foreclosure 911 Symposium” where experts will sit down with you and address your particular questions during these difficult times.   The workshop will be held on September 9, 2009, 6 pm – 9 pm at West Palm Beach City Commission Chambers.   Additional information can be found at the City of West Palm Beach website. The Tax Collector’s Office will be in attendance providing information on the tax certificate and tax deed processes.

Tax Collector Gannon also participated in the "Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Clinic" hosted by Palm Beach County Commissioner Priscilla Taylor and the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc. on Saturday, August 15.  Over 140 families attended and had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with attorneys from the Legal Aid Society, as well as housing counselors, mortgage lenders and real estate professionals on the foreclosure process and available alternatives.
