West Palm Beach , FL - Constitutional Tax Collector Budget – Where the Money Goes

The Constitutional Tax Collector’s Office is a commission and fee based office.  That means our operations are not funded by tax dollars.  We operate on funds collected for the services we provide.

The Florida Department of Revenue approves and monitors our budget and provides fiscal oversight.  This means our Constitutional Office is separate from those governmental entities which levy taxes in Palm Beach County.  This separation is an important “check” on the power of the County Commission.

All budget savings, either through cost reductions or increased efficiencies, are returned to each respective taxing district relative to the amount collected on their behalf.
Please contact ClientAdvocate@pbcgov.org  if you have questions regarding the budget.
