WEST PALM BEACH – September 18, 2008 Anne M. Gannon, Tax Collector, Palm Beach County issued the following statement today “ Effective September 26, 2008, our Mobile Unit will cease operations in North County. This decision is based upon evaluation of service volume at current locations and increased fuel costs to operate the vehicle.”
“Our office is scaling back expenses of the mobile unit in a step to reduce operating costs. We are encouraging clients to utilize our website to conduct business because it is the most cost effective way to serve the public” said Tax Collector Gannon.
Clients with business needs in northern Palm Beach County who are not able to utilize our website are encouraged to visit our Palm Beach Gardens Service Center (3188 PGA Boulevard; Palm Beach Gardens FL, 33410).
The Mobile Unit will continue to operate 9:30 am - 3 pm in West Boca on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and in East Boca on Thursdays and Fridays until January 1, 2009. At that time all operations of the Mobile Unit will cease in its entirety and all clients in southern Palm Beach County will be served at our Delray Beach Office.
