It’s hard to believe another New Year has begun. Time flies.  2011 was a very productive and active year at our offices.  All our changes, improvements, and customer service enhancements are focused on serving you:

• Added Lantana and PGA service centers to meet the Legislative mandate requiring Tax Collectors to take over driver license services.  The Lantana office also offers Property Tax services.
• Placed convenient drop boxes at all service centers.
• Implemented website posting of real-time wait-times for high volume services.
• Instituted a free text messaging tool for instantaneous driver license wait-times: text ‘waitpbc’ to 41411
• Created a Client Advocate position for help with on-line transactions via email.
• Expanded our ‘License to Drive-Real ID’ campaign to include a multi-cultural community tool kit.
• Launched an educational campaign about Florida’s new Veteran designation for driver licenses or state ID cards.

A new year brings new beginnings. We are honored and humble by the numerous awards and recognitions in 2011.  I’m very proud of our staff for their work that resulted in receiving the Florida Tax Collector Association’s Excellence in Financial Operations Award.  The award honored us for a flawless audit report, outstanding customer service delivery and excellence in technology innovations.  Other notable awards include our ground-breaking wellness initiative, Journey to Good Health, educational outreach, and collaterals.
